Ms. Patterson is an integral member of the team that represents clients in three key areas: Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals; Mass and Toxic Torts; and Consumer and Industrial Product Quality. Nationally recognized and international in scope, the practice ranges from single plaintiff cases, statewide or regional representation of larger clients through all phases of discovery, trial and appeal, to serving as national coordinating counsel for several Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Patterson’s work ranges from two-party disputes to more complex matters and she has experience in the trial and appellate levels of federal and state courts.
Ms. Patterson concentrates her practice on civil litigation, and has experience in the defense of claims against manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, therapeutic medical devices, orthopedic products, and medical equipment on a local and national level. She also has experience in the defense of class actions involving both product liability and consumer fraud claims, as well as in drafting and negotiating clinical trial agreements for trials conducted in the United States. In addition, Ms. Patterson frequently counsels companies whose products are regulated by the FDA under the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Patterson served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Deanne M. Wilson, presiding Chancery judge in the Morris/Sussex vicinage of the New Jersey Superior Court. Her responsibilities included preparing bench memoranda for the Court in advance of oral arguments and mediating small claims and landlord-tenant disputes.
Ms. Patterson received her law degree from Seton Hall Law School, where she served as the Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Board Director (2010-2011) and participated in the school’s Impact Litigation Clinic. She received a Bachelors degree in Criminology from The College of New Jersey with a concentration in Law and Society.
