Mr. Thomen concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation including the areas of product liability, toxic tort, pharmaceutical and construction litigation. In addition, his practice includes an emphasis on the defense of claims against manufacturers of consumer, commercial and industrial products. Mr.Thomen has extensive experience counseling clients with product recalls and product safety issues as well as providing guidance through the complex maze of product warnings,warranties, owners manuals, contract provisions, and other aspects of risk management.
Mr. Thomen practices throughout New England and has managed litigation for product liability matters on a national level. He is experienced in all phases of trial and litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States as well as in arbitrations and mediations. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Thomen has handled all aspects of appellate practice, including cases before the United States Supreme Court and various federal and state appellate courts.
Mr. Thomen has been recognized as a Connecticut Rising Star for 2012.
