Ms. Steel's practice is focused on the representation of employers in matters involving all aspects of employment law, including the defense of federal and state discrimination claims, retaliation and whistleblowing claims, and wage and hour disputes. Ms. Steel also represents clients in matters involving employment contracts, misappropriation of trade secrets, and non-competition and non-disclosure agreements. Ms. Steel practices before federal and state courts, administrative agencies and alternative dispute resolution forums. She also counsels employers with respect to a variety of employment law issues, such as preparing personnel policies and handbooks designed for compliance with the law, and responding to internal employee complaints. In addition, Ms. Steel has experience representing clients in multi-party complex commercial disputes.
While attending Brooklyn Law School, Ms. Steel was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law & Policy and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
