Mark Villanueva is a litigator with experience representing clients in an array of commercial disputes. Mark works closely with clients to understand their business objectives and to achieve their goals effectively and efficiently. Over the course of his career, Mark has successfully represented clients at the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings. As a member of McCarter & English’s Insurance Coverage and Complex Commercial Litigation Group, Mark represents policyholders seeking coverage for an array of claims, including directors’ and officers’ liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, and asbestos related bodily injury, among others. In addition to commercial litigation, Mark has successfully defended clients against personal injury claims, including product defect and medical malpractice claims.
Prior to joining McCarter & English, Mark served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul S. Diamond in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mark was recognized as one of Pennsylvania's Rising Stars in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and he was also recognized as one of Pennsylvania's Lawyers on the Fast Track in 2009.
