Richard Lucash concentrates his practice on high technology companies, and the organizations and individuals who invest in those companies. His experience includes working with companies involved in a wide range of technologies, and the corporate, financing, technology transfer and intellectual property issues required for their growth. He works with Internet-based, software, mobile and medical device companies and interactive media businesses.
He applies his technical education to the development of his legal practice and maintains a strong involvement in new technologies. Richard has extensive experience in licensing and other technology transfer arrangements and represents large institutional clients and others in the licensing of software and other technology.
His involvement with raising capital for technology companies includes his formation of the LaunchPad angel investment group.
Richard has been a principal in a management consulting firm focused on executive compensation and has expertise in the law and regulations governing compensation in nonprofits such as hospitals and foundations.
Richard has served as a Director of the LaunchPad investment group and is a member of the Board of Advisors of several companies. He has long been an active member of the MIT Enterprise Forum and the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, for which he chaired the Steering Committee of the Access to Capital group. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. Mr. Lucash holds an AVĀ® Preeminent 5.0 out of 5 (highest) rating for attorneys from Martindale-Hubbell. He holds a J.D. from the Cornell University Law School, and an undergraduate degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
