Mr. Smith is an associate in the firm's Business & Financial Services Litigation Practice Group and the Environment & Energy Practice Group.
Mr. Smith focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, including representation of lending institutions and special servicers with a focus on loan workouts, asset recovery and commercial foreclosures. Mr. Smith is experienced in handling commercial foreclosure matters concerning apartment complexes, office buildings and hotels, many of which have involved the appointment of receiverships. In addition, Mr. Smith has handled litigation matters involving business tort, restrictive covenant, unfair competition, and trade secret claims.
Mr. Smith also has experience in the area of environmental law representing large utilities, lending institutions, electric suppliers and a municipality on due diligence, permitting, regulatory compliance and enforcement matters.
