Ms. Gotthelf's practice is focused on products liability and general litigation in state and federal court. She defends pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers and coordinates mass tort products liability litigation involving occupational exposures. Ms. Gotthelf has been part of the national counsel team managing litigation for major pharmaceutical companies, and she has served as liaison counsel for sand suppliers in the silica litigation.

Ms. Gotthelf has experience defending claims for catastrophic injuries brought against the manufacturers of commercial vehicles and industrial equipment. Her clients include manufacturers of school buses, automotive equipment, heavy machinery, and volatile chemicals. Ms. Gotthelf counsels clients with regard to consumer product safety. She also defends corporations in contract and other business disputes involving commercial property, land use, replevin, and franchising.

An active appellate advocate, Ms. Gotthelf has represented manufacturing defendants, insurers and charitable organizations in the state and federal appellate courts. Her published decisions include Wilson v. A.P. Green Industries, Inc., 807 A.2d 922 (Pa. Super. 2002), and Sklar v. Harleysville Ins. Co., 526 Pa. 617, 587 A.2d 1386 (1991).

Ms. Gotthelf speaks on topics of interests to manufacturing defendants, and her articles have appeared in Law 360, For the Defense (Defense Research Institute), Harris Martin Columns (Silica), and publications of the American Bar Association.

Ms. Gotthelf coordinates the pro bono efforts of the firm's Philadelphia office, and her own pro bono work has included the prosecution of civil rights claims and resolution of property disputes.

As a former journalist, Ms. Gotthelf has written for both legal and general interest publications, including the New Jersey Law Journal, the New Jersey Business Journal, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
