9/28/2007 McCarter's Labor & Employment Group presents Workers with Caregiving Responsibilities: New EEOC Guidance
Our workforce is evolving rapidly. The proportion of women who work outside the home, or telecommute, has increased dramatically. Many employees, male and female, are responsible for the care of their children, the elderly, or disabled family members. And as the "Baby Boomer" population ages, "work-family conflicts" will intensify. Against this backdrop, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) recently issued a comprehensive Guidance addressing workers with caregiving responsibilities. The new Guidance alters the legal landscape under Title VII, the ADA, and related laws, while expanding areas of potential exposure for employers. Please join us for a Breakfast Briefing and panel discussion with EEOC Area Director, Robert Sanders, about the impact of the Guidance. Special emphasis will be placed on concrete measures to anticipate and avoid problems.
Speakers Robert Sanders, Area Director, Boston Area Office, U.S. EEOC
