Ms. Taylor has extensive experience handling complex commercial litigation of all kinds with a focus on life, annuity, securities, health, disability, ERISA, mutual fund, and investment litigation. She primarily represents financial services companies, banks, account representatives, brokers, broker-dealers, and corporations in individual and class actions and FINRA arbitrations involving all kinds of business, commercial, and consumer disputes. Ms. Taylor routinely tries both jury and non-jury cases and also frequently argues appeals and appears at FINRA arbitrations.
Ms. Taylor coordinated the nationwide sales practices litigation of one of the largest financial services companies. She has managed and negotiated nationwide class action settlements and has managed, litigated, and coordinated hundreds of individual opt-out cases throughout the country.
Ms. Taylor represented a major financial services company in a putative class action alleging breach of contract in the sale of life insurance policies issued on the lives of minors. She also has handled other putative and certified class actions involving the alleged improper marketing or sale of life insurance, credit life insurance, annuities, child term riders, convalescent care insurance, automotive and maintenance repair services, and breach of fiduciary duty claims under ERISA.
Ms. Taylor regularly appears in state and federal courts throughout New Jersey and New York. She also has litigated cases in Pennsylvania and in many other jurisdictions throughout the country through pro hac vice appearances.
Ms. Taylor sits on the Steering Committee of the CARE Women’s Initiative of New York, which seeks to raise funds, advocate for and increase awareness of CARE’s work empowering women in the developing world.
