Mr. Krikelis' practice is directed to representation of clients in all phases of intellectual property, with particular emphasis on patent preparation, prosecution and post grant review, patent portfolio development and management, patent litigation (including Hatch-Waxman litigation), IP licensing, due diligence analysis, and trademark filing and prosecution. His practice encompasses representation of start-up and emerging growth companies, universities and university spin-outs, as well as Fortune 50 chemical and pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Krikelis has technical experience in the fields of pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology, formulations, medical devices, hydrogels, agricultural and animal biosciences, personal care, cosmetics, food, flavorings, and industrial chemicals.

Mr. Krikelis continues to draw on his years serving as chief patent counsel for a substantial Ag-Biotech research and development company to better advise clients of all sizes on patent filing strategies such as scope of filing, building patent "picket fences," international patent filing strategies, as well as developing innovative approaches to generating income and business opportunities from patents and technological know-how.

Before practicing law, Mr. Krikelis worked for three years in a research lab as a molecular biologist for the DuPont Company and the later formed joint venture of DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company.

Mr. Krikelis is a member of McCarter’s Diversity Committee.
