Mr. Kahn concentrates his practice on commercial litigation matters arising in state and federal court, and in domestic arbitrations and international arbitrations.  He is an integral member of the firm’s Insurance Coverage team that has secured — both by judgment and settlement—billions of dollars in insurance assets for a broad range of policyholder clients, including the nation’s largest corporations and industrial concerns, as well as mid-cap and small business entities.

Mr. Kahn has participated in the successful representation of a major pharmaceutical company in several insurance arbitrations before a London tribunal with hundreds of millions of dollars in dispute.  He handled all aspects of the representation of an agricultural product manufacturer in successful coverage litigation against dozens of insurers with over $100 million at stake.

Mr. Kahn facilitates the pre-litigation exchange of claims and related information to drive settlements and conducts policy analyses for clients in various industries  – including analyses of general liability, professional liability, directors’ and officers’, errors and omissions, crime and cyber liability policies, and fidelity bonds – which have enabled clients to make informed coverage decisions for their businesses.  He also counsels clients on the structuring of their insurance programs and helps negotiate the terms of new and renewal policies to ensure favorable terms that benefit clients in the event of a claim.

Mr. Kahn has handled dozens of product liability, real estate, title insurance, construction and pro bono matters.  He represented a large title insurance agency in litigation regarding a contract dispute that culminated in a successful jury verdict on all counts in New Jersey state court.  Mr. Kahn’s breadth of litigation experience also allowed him to assume a lead role in a pension case before an administrative law judge during a multi-day plenary hearing and subsequent appellate proceedings before the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.  Additionally, he has played a vital role representing hospitals in transactions involving mergers into larger hospital systems.

During law school, Mr. Kahn served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Donald S. Goldman, J.S.C. (ret.) and was the Editor of the Rutgers Law Review. Mr. Kahn is currently the Vice Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Insurance Law Section.

Mr. Kahn has been recognized as a New Jersey Rising Star for 2015-2018. Super Lawyers is published by Thomson Reuters. Click here for their methodology. No aspect of this advertisement has been approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
