Brian M. Seeve’s practice focuses on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, and prosecution matters involving a variety of technologies, including computer software and hardware, mobile devices, wireless communications, semiconductor fabrication, networked/distributed systems, and cybersecurity.

Brian has represented clients in patent infringement litigation in the United States federal courts and before the International Trade Commission. His recent experience includes:

  • obtaining favorable settlement terms in a suit brought against a leading manufacturer of photolithography equipment in the International Trade Commission (2016);
  • successfully defending a leading satellite broadband provider in a suit alleging infringement of patents directed to error-correcting codes in the Central District of California (2015);
  • winning a motion to dismiss a patent infringement suit brought against an international financial services group in the Southern District of New York on the grounds that the asserted claims were directed to patent-ineligible subject mater under 35 U.S.C. § 101 (2015);
Brian has also prosecuted patent portfolios relating to a wide range of technology areas, including mobile communications, social networking, distributed retail systems, 3D rendering and editing, and biometric identification.
