The Professional Personnel Department is responsible for the administration of all attorneys and paralegals. Its goal is to recruit and develop the best attorneys, summer associates and law clerks to assist McCarter & English in better serving its clients. The department also recruits, develops and manages paralegals, paralegal assistants and file clerks to provide the highest quality support in all practice areas.

The Professional Personnel Department engages in all of the following:

  • Attorney recruitment
  • The Summer Associate Program
  • Associate review process
  • CLE coordination and ongoing professional development

Christine Lydon has been with McCarter & English since 2003. Ms. Lydon's practice focused on all aspects of complex commercial litigation in Federal and State Courts in New Jersey and New York. She has been involved in cases involving complex fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and professional negligence. Ms. Lydon is also experienced in securities fraud class action litigation, internal corporate investigation and closely held corporate shareholder disputes.

Ms. Lydon is a member of McCarter’s Women’s Initiative Steering Committee, which presides over the policies that have led to McCarter receiving Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum for five consecutive years. Additionally, Ms. Lydon is a member of McCarter’s Diversity Committee.

Ms. Lydon received her B.S.B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1999, and her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark in 2003.
