Dawn Kurtz Crompton is a litigator with experience in a variety of substantive areas, including Delaware corporate and alternative entity law, control disputes, derivative litigation, mergers and acquisitions, access to books and records, indemnification and advancement, complex contractual agreements, earn-out disputes, and trade secret misappropriation.  Dawn also assists with patent litigation matters in the District of Delaware, and handles investigatory and employment matters for the food & beverage industry.  

Dawn has bench and jury trial experience with contract, tort, and white-collar criminal matters, including case management of all stages of litigation, such as: resolution of pre-litigation disputes; coordination of large scale e-discovery and document review teams; preparation of witnesses and experts for deposition and trial; trial strategy, preparation, and management; as well as dispute resolution, such as mediation, arbitration, and settlements. 

Prior to becoming an attorney, Dawn worked as a sommelier and gained valuable business insight as a manager in marketing and public relations in the hospitality industry. After law school, Dawn earned a master’s degree in Marine Policy with a focus on renewable energy development, and also served as a law clerk in the Office of Delaware Governor Jack Markell, where she vetted legislation and assisted with a broad range of policy and administrative matters.
