Handling Sensitive Litigation

A corporate client was sued for wrongful termination by a former officer who alleged he had been fired for complaining that the company was illegally paying the personal expenses of its CEO, who, at his deposition, invoked the Fifth Amendment and refused to answer any questions regarding such payments. Tom Goodwin and Matt Wapner obtained summary judgment on behalf of the corporation, dismissing the lawsuit prior to trial, avoiding the need to have the CEO testify further.
