Joseph Ferino’s practice includes all areas of transactional and securities law, with particular emphasis on representing early stage and emerging growth technology companies and the investors who support them. Joe counsels clients on a diverse range of corporate matters, including entity formation, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Joe began his legal career as a corporate finance and securities associate in the New York office of Jones Day, an international law firm. While practicing there, he represented numerous clients in corporate finance transactions, including equity and debt financings and a myriad of other corporate and commercial matters. He then joined Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP as an associate in the Corporate and Securities Group in the Princeton, New Jersey office. At Drinker Biddle, Joe handled acquisitions, including stock and asset purchases, as well as mergers. He also advised clients with respect to corporate governance and formation matters. Most recently, he was an associate at SorinRand. 

Upon graduation from Rutgers University, Joe worked as a registered representative in the financial services industry. He subsequently received his JD from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, cum laude, having served on the Editorial Board of the Federal Communications Law Journal. Joe’s background, combining both business and legal experience, positions him well to serve the firm’s emerging growth and middle market sector clients.
