Mr. Brown has extensive experience in advising clients on employee benefit and executive compensation matters, from designing and drafting all types of qualified and non-qualified pension plans, welfare plans, and executive compensation arrangements, to ensuring their compliance, whether by amendment or administration, with applicable laws (e.g., ERISA, tax and securities law). Mr. Brown also has extensive experience in advising clients on the treatment of such plans and arrangements in corporate transactions and bankruptcies. Mr. Brown has dealt directly with the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in connection with various benefit plan-related matters, including benefit plan compliance and terminations.

Mr. Brown has co-authored several articles on ERISA and was a contributing author to the ABA publication, ERISA Survey of Federal Circuits (2005). Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brown was an associate at a large, international law firm based in New York City.
