Naida Čolakhodžić is a Technical Specialist in the Intellectual Property/Information Technology group, focusing primarily on patent preparation and prosecution in a variety of fields, including mechanical systems, material sciences, medical devices, analytical instrumentation, and mechanical engineering.

Prior to joining the firm, Naida worked in research and development at both startup and mid-sized technology companies. At Optodot Corporation, Naida contributed to lithium-ion battery technology advancement, developing multi-functional, nano-porous coatings and methods of battery manufacture for improved battery performance, increased safety, and cost reduction. At LeMaitre Vascular, Inc., Naida developed medical devices and methods of manufacture to increase efficiency and safety of surgery. Some of her work included devices with integrated sensor systems, which enabled surgeons to conduct a greater degree of physiologic monitoring during complex invasive procedures, compared to the current technology.

Naida attained her Biomedical Engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where, partnered with UMass Memorial Medical Center (Worcester, MA) pediatric neurosurgeons, she designed, developed, and evaluated a tunneling and expandable sheathing system for endoscopic neurosurgery, to be used in the treatment of neurological diseases and brain cancer.
