Ms. Montagna is a partner in the Corporate, Securities and Business Transactions practice group. She has extensive experience counseling U.S. and foreign public and private companies and their directors and executives on their compliance and reporting obligations under federal and state securities laws, as well as best practices and emerging trends in the area of corporate governance and general corporate matters. Ms. Montagna frequently advises buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions and in the disposition of business assets, as well as lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured loan transactions. She also represents venture capital companies and private equity funds in both debt and equity investments in portfolio companies.

Ms. Montagna is a trustee of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plainfield & Middlesex County and is active in the firm’s Women’s Initiative and the National Association of Women Lawyers. Ms. Montagna regularly participates in the firm’s pro bono programs and provides free legal services to disadvantaged individuals and families and the non-profit entities that serve them because she is convinced that it is the right thing for a lawyer to do and finds the work tremendously rewarding. She was recently named an Empire State Counsel Honoree in recognition of her pro bono service.
