Law firm expands its Philadelphia office with addition of nationally recognized real estate lawyer
McCarter & English, LLP has strengthened its real estate capabilities in the Philadelphia marketplace with the addition of Robert S. Davis, who joins its Philadelphia office as a partner. Davis has a reputation as one of the preeminent leasing lawyers in Philadelphia and brings his experience structuring a range of complex real estate transactions.

Davis has extensive experience handling complex commercial leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, sale-leasebacks, development projects, tax-free exchanges, and borrower-side financings. Davis also frequently handles complex multistate transactions and recently served as the team leader in charge of a large acquisition of triple net leased properties in several states.
Davis routinely represents major law firms, accounting firms and other companies in their office leases and headquarters transactions as well as tenants and landlords in industrial and shopping center lease transactions. He also represents developers, national retailers, public and privately held companies, commercial brokerage companies, and private investors. Davis has significant experience in handling multifamily transactions and has closed hundreds of sales and acquisitions ranging in size from $1 million to more than $50 million.
Davis is a frequent lecturer and author on various real estate topics, including retail and office leasing issues. He is also an active leader in his community and has received several awards and recognition for his charitable and pro bono work throughout the Philadelphia area.
Davis received his law degree from Temple University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from George Washington University.
