Pam Moore and Kristy Avino speak on “Understanding Obligations under the ADA: Your COVID-19 Questions Answered” at 1:00 p.m. EST as part of McCarter & English’s Managing Workforce Diversity & Inclusion in a Rapidly Changing World webinar series.
As employers begin to reopen around the country, they will be faced with making decisions on who, how and when to return employees to work safely and in compliance with legal obligations. This program will focus on the impact the ADA and state disability laws will have on decision making and the common questions employers have regarding their legal obligations, such as:
- Is home work a reasonable accommodation?
- How does one’s relationship with an individual in a high risk category affect employment decisions, if at all?
- What types of reasonable accommodation must an employer provide to employees who are themselves in a high risk category?
- Can an employer take into consideration an employee’s high risk status in making employment decisions?
