Natalie Watson spoke on “Using the Rules of Professional Conduct to Become a Bias Interrupter in the Law” at McCarter & English’s CLE program at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
In a post-Harvey Weinstein world and after the call of the #MeToo movement to be intentional about preventing sexual harassment and assault in the workplace, it’s important to understand how implicit bias could create conduct that may be viewed as harassment or discrimination based on a protected class or status and violate the ABA’s Model Rule 8.4(G). This presentation also provided strategies to create an inclusive workplace for women, diverse attorneys, and their allies.
