Presented oral argument to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and persuaded the Court to exercise its discretionary jurisdiction to invalidate G.L.c. 85, § 17A (often referred to as the anti-panhandling law) as an unconstitutional restriction on protected speech and violations of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article 16 of the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights, both of which protect freedom of speech.
