Angela Healey is an associate in McCarter’s Litigation group, where she focuses on a wide-range of issues arising in commercial litigation.
Prior to joining McCarter, Angela served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Nina F. Elgo of the Connecticut Appellate Court. While attending law school, she was a legal intern at the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center, where she drafted appeals of VA disability rating decisions for low-income veterans and briefs to be submitted to the Discharge Review Board and Boards for Correction of Military Records for discharge upgrade cases. Angela also served as a legal intern with General Dynamics Corporation’s Electric Boat division where she drafted and negotiated purchase order terms and conditions for specific acquisitions, created training for human resource staff on procedures for corporate compliance with federal conflict of interest laws and regulations, and drafted post-arbitration briefs for the human resource general counsel, among other responsibilities.
Angela graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she was the Executive Managing Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review. She received a Bachelors of Music, summa cum laude, from the University of Hartford, Hartt School of Music.
Outside of work, Angela is an accomplished musician who plays the violin with the Connecticut Valley Symphony Orchestra.
