Brian Cunningham is an associate in the Products Liability Practice Group where he represents companies of all sizes in commercial litigation and product liability matters. He is significantly involved in the defense of matters involving exposure to asbestos, as well as the representation of major pharmaceutical companies. Brian’s experience includes having served as a member of the firm’s national discovery team on a major pharmaceutical products liability action pending in Federal court. In that role, Brian managed the day-to-day operations of one of the largest Electronically Stored Information (ESI) review and production efforts in the history of electronic discovery.
In 2009, Brian served as a volunteer Special Deputy Attorney General in the Delaware Attorney General’s Criminal Misdemeanor Trial Unit. There, he prosecuted several bench trials to verdict in the Court of Common Pleas. In addition, Brian has appeared frequently in Delaware Family Court litigating family law matters on a pro bono basis and representing the interests of children as a Court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem. Brian also has experience representing indigent veterans in pursuit of benefits before the Department of Veteran Affairs.
Prior to joining the firm, Brian worked as a member of then-U.S. Senator Joseph R. Biden’s staff concentrating on military and veterans issues. Brian is a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the 3rd U.S. Infantry (TOG).
