Britt Killian is an associate in the firm’s Business & Financial Services Litigation group who is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Her practice focuses on representing clients in complex civil and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts with an emphasis on matters involving contract disputes, business torts, unfair competition claims, intellectual property and real estate issues. Her recent experience includes second chairing an $8.8 million jury verdict including an award of attorneys’ fees in a bad faith breach of contract and fiduciary duty case.
Prior to joining the firm, Britt was a commercial litigation associate at an Am Law 100 firm. Britt received her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law, where she served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Judge Nancy Gertner and worked as a Property teaching assistant and lawyering fellow instructing a first year legal skills course. Britt additionally interned at Boston Medical Center’s Medical-Legal Partnership as a member of the income supports team specializing in public benefits advocacy. Britt graduated from Simmons College, magna cum laude, with a B.S. in Philosophy and Women’s Studies in 2009.
