David S. Mordkoff is an associate in McCarter’s Business Litigation department. His practice focuses on a broad range of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on disputes in the professional sports and financial services industries.
Experienced in both state and federal courts, David’s representations include matters for all five major North American professional sports leagues. He twice defended major professional sports teams in federal-court lawsuits concerning season ticket practices. He also served as lead associate for the National Hockey League in a six-year lawsuit against the former owner of one of its member clubs. David’s experience in the financial services industry is also substantial, and includes defending several banks and clearing firms in complex multi-district litigation.
In addition, David has devoted significant time to pro bono causes, past work which includes advocating for veterans in their claims for disability benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs, and work with Election Protection, a non-partisan voting rights project run by the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Prior to joining McCarter, David was an associate with Proskauer Rose LLP. Before entering law school, he was an editorial assistant and writer with the Associated Press’ sports department.
