Hayley Reese is an associate in the Products Liability, Mass Torts, and Consumer Class Actions practice group. She focuses on product liability and complex commercial litigation, representing individuals, corporations, and alternative business entities, including pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Hayley has experience in all Delaware courts, including the District Court for the District of Delaware, the Delaware Supreme Court, the Court of Chancery, and the Superior Court, including its Complex Commercial Litigation Division. She also represents pro bono clients in Family Court.
Prepared various witnesses for depositions in national opioid litigation and state opioid litigation matters.
Secured an appellate victory on behalf of Overstock.com in the Delaware Supreme Court in a unique case involving Delaware escheat law and a qui tam action. The Court, sitting en banc, unanimously reversed a multi-million dollar false claim judgment entered against Overstock.com.
Secured an affirmance from the Third Circuit for a global pharmaceutical company in a product liability case previously won at the trial level. The appellate court also denied a series of post-decision motions filed by the plaintiff.
