Kevin Toomey assists borrowers and lenders in varied loan transactions, including term and construction loan financing and loan syndications. Kevin has substantial experience, gained during several economic downturns, in advising clients on distressed loan and distressed real estate restructurings. He has represented financial institutions and debtors in single-asset and portfolio repositionings and restructurings of loans at various levels of the capital structure as well as in foreclosures, deed-in-lieu-of-foreclosure transactions, and workouts.
In addition to his real estate finance work, Kevin assists clients in the full range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, sale leasebacks, build-to-suit and ground lease developments, and zoning and permitting.
Kevin has spoken at several continuing legal education courses on the real estate practice sponsored by the Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.
Early in his career, Kevin served as a Lieutenant and trial lawyer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
