Lawrence Green is a seasoned litigator who has settled disputes and won cases in federal and state trial and appellate courts throughout the country in the areas of antitrust, bankruptcy, and creditors rights, employment and non-competition, fiduciary duty, franchise law, intellectual property, and shareholders rights.
Over the course of his career, he has developed deep knowledge of several industries, including commercial printing, equipment leasing, pharmaceuticals, restaurants/food service, and telecommunications. His clients range from closely held family owned business to Fortune 100 entities. He also has been successful in helping prevailing parties recover financial assets from insolvent defendants, finding “deep pockets” from such sources as shareholders who bankrupted the defendant company, accounting firms that misrepresented the company’s financial worth, or parties that received fraudulent transfers from the primary defendant.
He is regularly retained in family business disputes in which the legal issues are compounded by the emotional family issues. Bringing a sensitivity to the situation but also a toughness and resolve to achieve the right result, Larry has achieved great success in negotiating very favorable settlements for his clients, with the desired financial result reached, together with a return to family harmony.
“A key to my success is the recognition that establishing credibility is the most important element to good advocacy,” Larry says. “In every one of my cases, I establish my credibility and that helps me be the best advocate I can be.” He is greatly respected in the legal community for his work and commitment to legal ethics and is held in high regard among judges and members of the bar.
Outside of work, Larry has served as the president of the American Jewish Society for Service, a non-profit organization providing community service opportunities for teens to serve in impoverished communities throughout America, as well as the president of Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline.
