Dr. Linlin Cao is a registered patent agent. Her patent drafting and prosecution experience includes a wide variety of technical fields, with a particular focus on materials science, nanotechnology and chemical arts. Linlin has significant knowledge in the areas of fabrication and application of nanomaterials, semiconductors, display technologies, batteries, polymers, and coatings.

Prior to joining the firm, Linlin was a patent agent at a law firm in Washington, DC, where she prepared and prosecuted patent applications involving material science, chemistry, renewable energy, medical devices, and software.

During her time at Rice University, Linlin led and participated in several research projects related to nanomaterials. These research projects involved a collaboration among multiple departments at Rice University, including Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.

Linlin has five publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and two Chinese patents as the inventor.
