Lisa Tyner has more than 15 years of experience in intellectual property matters. She practices in the area of life sciences, including the fields of biotechnology, molecular biology, immunology, genomics, protein therapeutics, diagnostic assays, imaging technologies, and drug development.
Lisa represents a wide range of clients, from universities and small start-ups to large multinational corporations. She has broad experience in worldwide intellectual property counseling and strategic planning, patent procurement, due diligence, and opinion preparation. In particular, Lisa’s practice includes client counseling, freedom to operate and clearance investigations, patentability analysis, validity/infringement opinion work, and inventorship disputes.
Prior to her legal career, Lisa spent five years as a research associate at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she performed genetic research in the areas of metabolic disease and autoimmunity.
