Matthew O’Connor is an associate in the Products Liability, Mass Torts and Consumer Class Actions group, focusing his practice on the defense of clients in products liability litigation and in other complex disputes involving professional liability, construction defect and premises liability related claims. Involved in all stages of pre-trial litigation, Matthew has significant e-Discovery experience, regularly conducting document review and analysis and employing a variety of sophisticated e-Discovery platforms.
Active in both state and federal courts, Matthew has represented a wide variety of clients, particularly those operating in the healthcare sector, including healthcare systems, medical groups, nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
Prior to entering private practice, Matthew was a law clerk for the Honorable Louis R. Meloni, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division. While in law school, Matthew was the Lead State Constitutional Law Editor for the Rutgers Law Journal and a member of the Rutgers Law Child and Family Advocacy Clinic.
