Michael Strouse represents financial institutions and other creditors in complex commercial and bankruptcy-related litigation, including foreclosures, fraud and breach of contract claims, loan enforcement matters, lender liability claims, and UCC-related litigation. He regularly represents lenders in negotiating commercial loan workouts, loan sales, and forbearance agreements. Michael’s experience also includes litigating disputes involving trade secret and restrictive covenant claims, business torts, employment matters, and partnership and shareholder disputes.
In addition, Michael has substantial experience counseling clients on issues arising from the regulation of credit and collection practices in the consumer financial services industry. Michael previously served as general counsel for an accounts receivable management company where he advised executives on compliance with laws and regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau oversight and guidance.
