Patrick Harrity represents public and private companies in matters related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, entity formation and structuring, stockholders agreements, employment agreements, and general corporate matters. In particular, his work focuses on early stage and emerging growth companies in a wide range of technology and tech-enabled sectors and the investors who support them.
Pat also represents clients in a variety of stages who are involved in the cannabis industry. He has counseled clients regarding the submission of applications for a medicinal alternative treatment center in New Jersey, he has represented license recipients and counseled them through the process of acquiring private funding to support the expansion of their businesses, he has advised clients regarding the sale of retail licenses, and he has advised clients on a multitude of regulatory and federal concerns.
Pat has also represented healthcare entities in transactional and regulatory matters, advising on the formation and structure of healthcare entities, corporate practice of medicine issues, joint ventures, shareholder, operating and employment agreements, and licensure compliance.
While attending law school at Rutgers Law School, Pat interned at Palisade Capital Management, LLC, a NJ Investment Management Firm where he assisted on a number of projects including SEC compliance and Private Equity transactions. Pat also interned for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Bureau of Securities. While in school Pat engaged in a variety of vocational and avocational pursuits, including the Community and Transactional Clinic, where he took the lead in starting a number of non-profit organizations, including creating and filing all certificates of incorporations and bylaws.
