Sharix Alicea focuses on a range of complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters, including those involving lending and financial services, creditors’ rights, real estate disputes, insurance coverage matters, and other contractual disputes.
Prior to joining McCarter & English, Sharix handled general and commercial aviation matters throughout the country. She is active in her community and currently serves on the Puerto Rican Task Force of the New York City Bar.
Sharix earned her J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut where she was the Symposium & Write-On Editor for the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, the first recipient of the NAMWOLF Pipeline Diversity Scholarship, and an interpreter for the Asylum and Human Rights Clinic. Sharix also served as the Vice President of the Black Law Students Association and the President of the Latinx Law Students Association.
