Tiffany Stevens practices real estate and land use law, regularly representing commercial real estate clients in various stages of their projects. She assists clients regarding many types of commercial real estate lending, including permanent and interim financing, co-lending arrangements, and mezzanine finance; the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate; and the negotiation of commercial leases. Tiffany has extensive experience in representing investment banks and institutional lenders in connection with the origination and restructuring of credit facilities secured by most types of commercial property.
In the planning stages of a project, Tiffany regularly appears before Planning and Zoning Commissions and other governmental agencies, representing clients who seek to develop their property. She has worked with municipal staff to amend local zoning regulations to accommodate the needs of clients seeking to build large-scale and multi-use developments.
Active in pro bono legal work, Tiffany was awarded the 2007 Pro Bono Award from the Hartford County Bar Association for her work in negotiating a $5 million settlement with the State of Connecticut on behalf of first individual exonerated from wrongful imprisonment in Connecticut through the use of new DNA evidence.
Prior to joining McCarter & English, Tiffany was law clerk to the Honorable Lubbie Harper, Jr., of the Connecticut Appellate Court.
