Dr. Wendy Thai is an experienced patent attorney who works with research institutions, manufacturing or technology-based companies, and independent inventors to obtain patent protection in the US and foreign jurisdictions for new products and discoveries with agricultural, farming, industrial, and medical/therapeutic applications.
Wendy has worked with life sciences and mechanical technologies in the following areas:
- agricultural, farming and industrial technology
- farming and building products
- industrial chemicals
- immunology, microbiology, mammalian cell biology, cell-based therapies
- medical diagnostics and surgical devices
Wendy also assists clients with third party patent evaluations including development of freedom-to-operate positions, invalidity and/or non-infringement opinions, and competitive patent landscapes.
Wendy is a graduate of The University of Minnesota Law School and was a Managing Editor of the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology. She was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Alberta in Canada.
