Yoseph Hamad focuses his intellectual property practice on U.S. and international patent preparation and prosecution. An electrical engineer, Yoseph concentrates on the technical areas of medical devices, opto-electronics, software, automation and robotics, autonomous vehicles, and consumer products. He prepares patent applications for entry as US national stage Section 371 filings and prepares US applications, based on foreign priority applications, for filing in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Yoseph conducts searches and prepares patentability assessments of inventions relating to electrical, mechanical and computer-implemented technologies.
Prior to joining McCarter, Yoseph served as a research assistant at Columbia University, where he developed a Python-based supervised convolutional neural network to accurately classify cardiac tissue substances for radiofrequency ablation therapy guidance. He also designed computational methods for chromophore absorption fitting to uterine hyperspectral data.
Yoseph earned his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and Columbia University, respectively.
