According to the research methodology of Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters company, attorneys achieve “Super Lawyer” or “Rising Star status” by meeting the following requirements; nomination by their peers and clients, required evaluation on 12 indicators of professional achievement, and selection by a credentialed panel of attorneys. Only 5% of lawyers in each state are selected to Super Lawyers. Only 2.5% of eligible lawyers are selected to Rising Stars in each state. In order to be eligible for Rising Stars, a lawyer must be under 40 or must have practiced for 10 years or less.
