A three-judge panel of the Illinois Appellate Court’s First District reversed a trial court’s decision and ruled that thousands of asbestos personal injury actions against Hennessy Industries Inc. constitute multiple “occurrences” under the terms of its liability insurance policies, paving the way for the company to access additional coverage to fight the underlying asbestos suits.
