Alex Major is extensively quoted in an article that discusses Kaspersky Lab Inc.’s lawsuit to fight its disbarment as a U.S. government contractor.
The government’s move against Kaspersky reflects the embracing of isolationism and ‘‘lazy legislating,’’ Major said.
‘‘There could have been a way to carve out what the government was hoping to eliminate in addressing Kaspersky, but that wasn’t done. That would have taken work and effort to understand the cyber threat, and that is something that Congress, as reflected by its years of inaction towards the subject, doesn’t appear to have the stomach or knowledge to tackle,’’ he said.
