McCarter & English government affairs analyst Alexandria Santiago has been elected president of the Monmouth County Young Democrats.
Alexandria previously served as a legislative aide and scheduler for New Jersey State Senator Vin Gopal and Assemblywomen Margie Donlon and Luanne Peterpaul, as a legislative intern for US Senator Bob Menendez, focusing on matters before the Judiciary Committee, and as a legislative affairs intern for New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
According to the New Jersey Globe, Alexandria will lead the executive board and strengthen its focus on voter education and community service while continuing to provide an inclusive space for young people to participate in civic affairs and local politics.
