Fromer First US attorney for the District of New Jersey, Desiree “Desi” Grace, has returned to McCarter & English joining the firm’s Business Litigation and Government Investigations & White Collar Defense teams.
Desi previously worked as an associate at the firm before completing a clerkship and moving into the Department of Justice in 2016. In an interview with Law.com, Desi said “The firm has had incredible growth and success and is operating at the top of the market.” She added, “They have a great culture, they’re collaborative and committed to doing things the right way.” Deputy Firmwide Managing Partner Mary Gabriel commented on Desi’s return and said, “She is going to be an asset to every facet of our litigation practice, not only as a strategist but she is also one of the foremost trial attorneys in the state.” Mary said, “Beyond the obvious civil and criminal litigation practices just as a trial attorney, I think any client would be very fortunate to have her represent them in court.”
