In a New Jersey Law Journal profile, as a finalist for the New Jersey Law Journal’s Attorney of the Year award, McCarter Chairman Joe Lubertazzi comments on the firm’s approach of transparent and continuous communication during the pandemic, remaining focused on colleagues’ well-being, while posting its highest revenue ever.
Lubertazzi also oversaw the creation of the McCarter & English Social Justice Project, which aims to dismantle structural racism and combat the impact of racial inequality in the United States. “We’re not inclined to issue a statement. We’re not inclined to donate some dollars and just move on.”
“We, as lawyers, have a responsibility to the community,” he said.
The Attorney of the Year winner will be announced on Thursday, September 23.
