Just days before the U.S. Supreme Court is set to rule on the Bridgegate case, the attorney for David Wildstein, the mastermind behind the scheme, claims he struck a secret deal with federal prosecutors that could now get his client off the hook and clear his name.
“When you plead guilty, there should be no side agreements,” added Robert Mintz, a former federal organized crime prosecutor and assistant counsel to former Gov. Thomas Kean.
