The Third Circuit on Wednesday revived an attempt by note trustee Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas to get $30 million back from Tribune Media Co.’s creditors, saying it doesn’t jeopardize Tribune’s $7 billion reorganization plan.
Deutsche and co-trustee Law Debenture Trust Co. of New York made up one of two groups of Tribune Media Co. creditors that wanted re-dos in Tribune’s $7 billion reorganization. The bank had attacked a component of the plan that took $30 million out of the pockets of senior noteholders and distributed it to other creditors.
Deutsche Bank is represented by David Adler, James Freebery and Katharine Mayer of McCarter & English LLP.
