McCarter & English partner David Kott has been named chairman of the newly launched New Jersey Litigation Center, an initiative established by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) and the New Jersey Civil Justice Institute (NJCJI) to strengthen the business community’s voice in the courts.
The New Jersey Litigation Center will serve as a resource for New Jersey employers facing significant legal and regulatory challenges, including constitutional issues, regulatory overreach, and civil litigation affecting the state’s business community. The Center complements NJBIA’s existing advocacy before the legislative and executive branches by providing a more coordinated approach to issues arising through the judicial system.
As chairman, David leads a board that brings together experienced litigators, in-house counsel, and public policy leaders from across New Jersey’s legal and business communities. The Center is designed to identify matters with broad implications for employers and provide the resources necessary to respond strategically to significant litigation and regulatory challenges.
