This one-day concentrated course on the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) enables attendees to better understand the structure and content of the DFARS and how it relates to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The course is intended for personnel with some familiarity with the FAR who want to learn about the acquisition regulations and policies that are specifically applicable to Department of Defense acquisitions.
The course covers the most important Parts and Subparts of the DFARS, as well as the corresponding sections of the Policy, Guidance and Instructions (PGI), and will distinguish between those sections that are mandatory and those that allow the parties some flexibility. Because the course is structured as a workshop, we use many practical examples specifically designed to demonstrate how to work with the DFARS. Attendees develop and refine the skills necessary to apply the DFARS to virtually any acquisition situation.
