Gerard Brew and members of our Domestic Violence Project were honored with the Partners in Justice Award at the Partners for Women and Justice Spring Benefit on May 6, 2014. Partners for Women and Justice provides free legal assistance to abused women in domestic violence and family law matters. The bulk of our pro bono work for Partners for Women and Justice consists of representing domestic violence survivors in obtaining Final Restraining Orders against their abusers. Gerard has supervised each of the nearly 20 cases we have taken in the past two years. Participants in our Domestic Violence project include Wilson Antoine (7 cases), Ryan Richman and Timothy Ferges (2 cases each), Marisa Steel and Meena Untawale (1 case each), as well as legal assistant Gloria Ribeiro and paralegal Karen Golubieski.
